Hmmmm - I thought this was actually a pretty cool branding exercise by a company that is seriously looking to build an engaged community and some loyalty. But only the most recent M cars are allowed to join? Why would they kneecap their community from the get go? The fact that I can't join with a Z4MC actually turns me off the BMW brand.
