Ok... so good news and bad news.
I realized I hadn't actually looked all that recently so I just went out to get a good look at it again.
Plenty of room from this view with no heat shields in the way:
The bad news is... yes I am about to burn through the silicone hose at the front outlet. I don't think getting any more room from heat shields is my problem. I will need to see how to get more distance from that curved section and the manifold. That is where I should have had heat tape and maybe another shield of some sort.
