There is some horological history there, particularly back in the day. A few examples:
1) Invention of the first true chronometer (by
John Harrison in the 1700s)
2) Rolex was founded in London in 1905 (they later moved to Geneva in 1919)
3)
George Daniels was considered by many to be the best horologist in the world during his lifetime, and was famous for creating the co-axial escapement.
