I think Ferrari is one of the teams were both drivers can be equally matched and the first few races have to decide which driver gets the upper hand and takes the 'role' of first driver.
Last year Leclerc was the better driver, but the year before Sainz was arguably better (certainly the last 3rd of the season).
So I think Fred makes the right decision. I also think both Leclerc and Sainz race against eachother with mutual respect. That's something we don't always see in teams where both drivers are equally matched.
