I love the Hoka but the New Balance was the best fit for my broken foot, it was not too tight anywhere and the fit on the good foot was good too. After some rehab when the swelling goes down I will try a pair of the Hoka's.

On another note: I took delivery of my M2 6MT today and while I can't walk, it is no problem for me to use the clutch in the car. I feel normal when I'm driving it and forgot that I can't just jump out and walk away. I think I already like it better then my M3 DCT.
I am glad you found the right shoes. Congrats on your new M2
