If the hill is removed from the equation and grass is the killer, can you not get it on a dolly and then just get a couple boards to get it across the yard? One for it to be on, the next that you roll on, move the first in front of the second you just rolled onto, repeat...
Standard dolly with casters and the boards (plywood or something?) to distribute weight and save grass.
