bryanhoag just reporting back here that the oddments tray install went fine
although I've destroyed the Snap-In adaptor in the process. I did the same thing with the phone cradle's cable—cut it and taped it with some duct tape. The only hard part for me was getting the phone cradle out. Brute-forcing it worked well though. It's outdated tech anyhow.
