I love the defensive players opening the game. And yup, you're right.
My brother was by far the best defender I've ever seen at the age he played (in my family a sport is not seen highly as a profession, and he was sent to law school). I love seeing skills and an eye for the game. I do admit a big ring makes real stamina and skill an easier thing to spot but also your way has merits.
I am really happy the juniors here get big minutes, even in the leagues. The passion for the game and not just the money is epic
