I'd be surprised if they arent in the SEC next season.

OU/Texas announcing this now serves 2 purposes. It strengthens their future recruiting as they can now promise SEC coverage for future recruits. And it has the rest of the Big 12 teams scrambling to join other conferences so they arent left holding the bag. With those teams scrambling, they are going to jump ship sooner rather than later, causing the Big 12 to implode.

Its going to be an interesting 5-7 years for college football. My prediction is the B1G and ACC will eventually combine, the PAC12 will add some powerhouse schools, and those 3 conferences will break off from the NCAA creating their own league. They will drop the weaker schools, and have 30-40 total schools in the league and be a mini nfl. The money potential for that league is too great for the big 3 conferences not to do it.
