Kinda wondering the same thing. Haven't heard of this specific type of failure on any of the Z4 boards but that certainly doesn't mean it hasn't happened. (how many times are expensive repairs made under warranty by drivers who have no clue what caused their cars to need service and never frequent the forums?)
Anyway I did go ahead and order since the relays are very inexpensive and certainly can't "hurt".
