This is a fascinating move because a) its a shortish timeline so we will all hopefully be around to see what a farce it will be and b) the wording is extremely sneaky......"must be able to run on electricity"......so it will allow PHEVs.
Watch hybrids explode, absolutely no way in the known universe we will sell even 15pc of new cars as pure EV by 2026. The time of the hybrid is coming faster than I expected. Toyota Canada executives will get hammered tonight, they'll just about be the only ones selling what people a) want and b) can afford. |
