35i Firmware updating problem.
Today I took my 35i to a local specialist to upgrade the firmware as it was all still on 2009 firmware. Main reason being that I wanted to update the Sat Nav but I couldn’t on the old firmware.
The engine, gearbox etc all updated fine but he had trouble with the CIC firmware. The computer was telling him to use one code while the CIC was expecting a different code. As a result, I am temporarily without entertainment or nav until it can be fixed.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? He thought maybe the radio had been replaced at some time in its life and the computer hadn’t been updated.
