HAM had no excuses, he freely admitted he made a mistake when he ran off...something MAX never does, it’s always excuses or blaming someone else.
Was he lucky with the red, yes. Did he come back out and move up to take 2nd, fastest lap and still lead the WDC? YES!
He could have just packed it in and got out of the car when he hit the wall, but he didn’t.
I would bet big that if the same thing happened to MAX he would have been crying on the radio to his crew and getting out of the car tossing his steering wheel in disgust and looking for someone to blame.
