I think they're accentuating the fact that in "M-Town" the train stops for M Cars to cross, and not the other way around where the car has to speed up to make the tracks before the train crosses. This is best exemplified by the fact that the stop gate & crossing lights is actually facing the train (if you look closely at the end of the clip) in front of the M-Town Billboard. And more importantly, that typical cinematic choreography is quite the opposite in M-Town.
