Update!
So, sorry for the holdup! Another wire fault was discovered after installing the new CTM. Not as a result, per se mind you. After the wire fault was corrected, I understand that the CTM was programmed and the system works without incident! I am still a bit skeptical about trusting it, however, it works!
If it happens again, then I am tempted to pull all of the wire and replace it with heavy duty 12 gage speaker cable. I am probably kidding, but maybe not.
