@1) AFAIK there is an option in INPA.
@2) No programming is required when you change a CTM. But you need the correct CTM depending on the number of external valves at your hydraulic pump (3 valves before 03/2012, 4 valves as of 03/2012)
@3) There are broken wires in the roof shell, micro switches and hall sensors never fail. Access to the trunc is only possible according @1, but doesn't really help in your case.
The original emergency release in the trunc is only to support those guys who sleep in the trunc.
