During the development of our new forged wheels, we knew that our classic EC-7 design was the ideal choice to lead with for our initial release. Our flow formed EC-7 wheels have been a fan favorite in the enthusiast community for a while now, so when tasked with evolving the timeless design for a forged application, we knew we couldn’t leave anything on the table with the EC-7R.
While aesthetics are very important to us, we believe that functionality should always come first. With the EC-7R, many of the design changes from the original were made purely in the pursuit of that next level of performance. With the additional strength from the EC-7R’s forged construction, we were able to remove significant material from the sides of each spoke. Not only did this help shave even more mass from the already lightweight wheel, but it left the EC-7R with a distinguished and tasteful “I” beam spoke design that looks at home both on the street and at the track.
