I don't know how anyone can consider him a solid bet for the HOF. He's far short of what is (and should be) required.

If Kurt Warner's a marginal candidate (which he is), then Romo's not a candidate at all. Romo is/was a better than average quarterback. That doesn't make him HOF worthy. Among active QB's, Brady is the only sure fire first ballot HOFer. After him comes Roethlisberger, Brees, Manning (as much as I bloody well hate him), and Rodgers. What separates them from Romo? They've won big time, big games, and taken their teams on their shoulders to do so.

And that doesn't include QB's on the early side of their career who will also likely merit consideration like Russell Wilson.

Give your head a shake. That he's a nice guy and has some grace and class has nothing to do with the HOF.

OTOH, Nowitzki ... there's a guy with an argument for the HOF.
