I'm just going to disagree with the video. Not in his explanation in how a rollout works, or that some large reviewers like Motortrend or Car and Driver use them. But in his claim that manufacturers are trying to achieve the best 0-60 times possible and that all reviews use rollouts.
Nearly any high performance car I look at has realistic 0-60 times posted that don't include the use of a rollout. That's why reviewers that do use rollouts and drive on prepped surfaces are posting better numbers. Half of the vehicles I looked actually had conservative 0-60 times where just a half assed launch control use on a regular road would post better numbers.
