I bought some grills (solid black) for my 35i to replace the silver ones. I wanted a meaner all black look.
I couldn't get the original grills out, there are a lot of clips and it felt like I'd break them if I pulled any harder, so left them alone and returned the black ones!
I'm sure when its not winter and you have lots of light, it might be easier, but it didn't seem that easy to me. You only have access from the front and you can't see anything behind them, its feel around with fingers and try to work out how the clips work!
