I'm so jealous of your journey and being able to catalog it so meticulously! I'm 41 and I long to go on a road trip like this, just like we did when I was a kid (travelling from TX to NY to FL and back with 4 kids was a laudable feat for my parents!). Alas, my wife hates being in the car for more than 1 hr so it's a pipe dream for now. Maybe when the 2 and 3 yr olds graduate from college, I can convince her to go with me.
