Best advice I can offer is get the extended warranty pamphlet and read the fine print.

My info is the extended warranty coverage is not up to any dealer employee.

When I researched extended warranties and talked to senior techs they told me invariably if a car came with something that resulted in an extended warranty claim they would be bombarded with questions about servicing, usage, etc from the extended warranty company seeking any justification to deny the claim.

The techs told me they answered the questions honestly and emphasized they could not influence the extended warranty company. The claim was honored or not based on the fine print of the warranty coverage document and that the vehicle owner had followed the servicing requirements laid out and had not engaged in usage that nullified coverage (tracking) and had not made any prohibited modifications.
