The telling theme here is that its Disney. This one as well as Romulus is using youngsters as the main subjects to appeal to teens and mixing in scenes from the original Alien(s) and the rest to tag along the older viewers also, quite cunning of them if I may say to get more bottoms onto seats.
What striking is that a Yaphet Kotto lookalike, the simple good chap in Alien, is the Captain in this one, a synthetic that pilots this ship to get the captured species to this mysterious 'Weyland' firm, the species are suddenly breaking free from their glass encapsules and killing the crew with the ship shortly crashing into another ship sending it on a course to earth.
I'm seing it anyway when it gets to the big screen whatever the reviews.
