BTW, I see you hail from Bavaria. I was one of the journalists covering the introduction of the original Z3 at the brand new BMW manufacturing facility in Duncan, SC back in 1995.
Now all they build there are SUVs. But it was a really fun introduction. I could only afford a used Miata back then. And oddly enough, the Zentrum at that facility showcased a completely dismantled Miata on the wall. The guide explained that it was part of their research for the Z3.
That used Miata stayed with me for 25 years, and has been the best car I've ever owned.
This Z4 has some big shoes to fill.
