My husband and I have decided to sell the house we live in. He received it in the family, so he didn't go through the traditional buying process.
We did look into agents, but it looks easy enough to sell without an agent (with a real estate lawyer, of course).

Has anyone had first hand experience in selling without an agent?
Any tips to avoid the not-so serious people?
Do you straight out ask if they've already spoken the bank?
