2) Back up camera issue with image being shifted upward on the screen was not fixed by the update. Nor was it fixed by using a different camera. So it's an issue inherent to the SmartBox (perhaps mine is just a dud?). Still better than not having a camera.

Do you have to press any buttons to get backup camera image on screen. Did you have to splice into reversing light wire or dies the carplay box take care of that?
