My Mini GT3

A lot of people keep advising me to not do it, but i keep picturing and it looks good in my mind. Plus..the GT3 looks awesome...

this is not installed yet..just stuck on so its crooked for sure..was just seeing how it looked. I actually think it looks more exotic than rice.

Its just too disproportional from the rear. The GT3 has a wide body kit thats why it looks good on it. If it was a bit smaller and lower and with more discreet mounting brackets it would look more elegant in my opinion... Something like this:

its tough...the reactions are mixed..some really like it..some really hate it..I will be tracking it..but also wanna make sure the car still looks somewhat classy..kinda like a lot of exotics also have gt wings..but still manages to be aggressive exotic..feel like the z4 is too pretty..needs to roughen up a bit.

If you need roughness, get a Z4M

I see you have the quad exhaust. What other mods do you have?

Is there one where the posts are wide apart and a little lower?

I wouldn't do it if it were my car. Keep it stock looking for the stealth/sleeper factor.

A wing isn't going to "toughen up" the exterior was much as lowered suspension and super wide competition rubber, in my opinion.

Very nice mods but wouldn't the 20" wheels decrease performance and comfort?

nicknaz: i can adjust the width of he post. in fact, i like center mounting more just because it keeps the slim long lines of the z4..but might experiment with the width regardless. as for height its adjustable up or down about an inch. but for a wing to be useful it has to match the line of the roof or come close to it.

Moo: 20" wheels are for street..will pick up a pair of wheels jus for track and swap on track days and stuff

Best way to keep the lines is to keep the wing off....

As a fellow HKer I would have to say please don't do it. Get a set of aggressive looking wheels, lower the car, ditch the mud flaps and keep the clean look.

Mount it! for track days and for shows/meetings. Keep it off your daily drives.

It'll be awesome if someone can come up with a removable "clip-on" GT spoiler design that's secured by the trunk closure mechanism, without the need to drill holes. Pop the trunk to unhook, etc.

It will eventually look good. You need more aggressive mods.
