What is the benefit of the e-break

I was wondering for sometime what is the benefit of an e-break over the conventional hand break... Anyone??

Brake set not too hard or too loose, less linkage (weight), strong fingers.

And also engages the parkbreak automatically after some time if driver forget to set it.

I'm sure there are some more advantages also..............

The decision to go with the E-Brake was made to preserve space both in the passenger compartment and in the drive shaft tunnel with this new design. Expect to see more of this kind of stuff in the years to come as things shrink. I also don't they ever anticipated the "new" Z4 audience interested in "J" turns.

Was wondering the same thing. Space saving makes sense.
