JB4 upgrade
Understand that JB4 for E89 is out. Comes with full mapping integration with dashboard display. Not sure is it a worthwhile upgrade? Anyone tried and see improvement in torque or bhp?

Never dynoed my car so I couldn't tell you. However, with the JB3, if I quickly accelerated (manual transmission) and did a quick shift into 2nd, there would be some jerkiness felt as through 2nd gears powerband before shifting into 3rd. With JB4, I don't feel that. Don't know if I've really pushed it in 2nd yet to do a fair comparison. My butt dyno says there is an improvement, but that might just be my mind justifying paying $150 for the upgrade. (I bought by JB3 used). |
