Floor mats

Do you guys still use the OEM floormats? Or have you upgraded to something different?

The OEM are junk as far as I'm concerned...

I find the ones that came with mine to be quite nice. Fairly heavy, silver trim with 35is stiched across the front. I assumed everyone had this....

The summer OEM floormats (as pictured in Post #4 and #5 below) I received with the car are high quality, compared to other OEM floor mats.
Mine have held up exceptionally well. I see no reason to switch to something else.

Mine came with 2 rubber mats for the winter. I purchased 2 summer mats in Hollywood last year at the BMW Dealership. It has a large Z4 stitched in each mat. I paid close to $100- for the 2 mats.

If you want a set of very nice mats I would recommend either:

Bavarian Autosport (bavauto.com)
or
GG Bailey (ggbailey.com)

Mine developed creases early on, the foam underlayment tore and now I have to adjust it every single time I get in the car to keep it from interfering with the pedals. I didn't even bother getting winter mats, I'm going to get new ones in the spring.

Curious what other folks are using.

It's not your sneekers, it's your high heels that are doing it!!

Anyone know what this means/how to correct it: "Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing or mismatched." I get this each time i try to post pics now. In searching I see several ppl asking but nobody answering.

At the factory, BMW did not properly aligned the velcro that keeps the OEM summer floor mats in place. The person responsible for glueing the velcro circle to the underside of the mat must have had a hangover that day.

So, a long time ago, I removed and repositioned (by re-glueing) the velcro circle on the underside of the mat, so that it aligned with the velco circle screwed into the floor. The mats have never budged since.

Your icon photo looks like Chantal on the show, The Bachelor.

Blue, you are setting yourself up for all sorts of ribbing when you reference shows like the Bachelor. Not that there's anything wrong with it.., all 3 of my 22yr old secretaries just love the show...

Bragging about having three 22-years old secretaries is also going to get you in trouble!

I have 1/3 of one, and she's over 50....

Next you'll tell us you also have perfect floor mats and that said secretaries get to ride with you in your Z4 on sunny days...

Nice try but it was a joke to illustrate the point. Besides this is America you have every right to watch girly shows if you so choose.

I picked up a couple of 16"x26" black bathroom towels, placed them on the OEM carpets. If they get beat up they are cheap to replace, throw them in the washer & dryer when they get messy. No wear on the OEM's, but the Z4 markings are covered. Now, after de-badging no one can identify it.
