Hm. I would get a P car.
Not because it's light year ahead, because it seems more proper to get a pcar at 60k range. |

Why would it be "more proper"? I am totally not following your line of reasoning here.

If you have the means to buy a Z4, then you can buy a Boxster. If you option them intelligently the price point is close. It’s a personal preference. I drove both. The Boxster drives great. But I'll sacrifice some handling for the style comfort of a Z4. Simple.
Ps- Boxster Fans - it’s a chick car a great chick at that car but still chick car! |

OK, I'll bite...
I passed on the Boxster in 2001 when I bought my Z3 - felt like the Boxster probably a better car, but not worth significantly more money. Bought my Z4 a couple of months ago. Looked at the Boxster again. Felt like the Z4 had much better styling ('01 Boxster looked like '09 Boxster), probably equal in performance, but Boxster still noticeably higher price (though gap not as big now). In 2001, I couldn't have easily afforded the Boxster price, so didn't. In 2009, I could have easily afforded the Boxster price, but didn't want it. |

Depends on what you want, the cars are very different. The Boxster is much lighter and handles much better. The Z4 has a roomier, more luxurious interior, a softer ride, a hard top, and a torquier engine.
The best solution is to do what I did; buy a Porsche and a Z4.

I believe the initial poster was making an attempt at humor with a sarcastic question type (when he says "Really?") to that ridiculous claim by some of the Porsche owners.
If the initial poster would chime back in and clarify, we'd all know for sure. |

I think we can all certainly agree the Boxster handles "much better" than a Honda Accord, though. |
