New BMW Z4 nominated for 2010 European Car of the Year award - New 2009 2010 BMW Z4

Nominations for the 2010 European Car of the Year Award have been announced -- http://www.caroftheyear.org/candidates/2010_1/coty

The new BMW Z4 (e89) has made the list and is the only BMW appearing on the ballot this year. Toyota tops the list with five entries.

There really isn't any other nice cars on that list. Seems like an easy win to me but some toyota will prolly get it.

The European Car of the Year is more or less a joke.

Number of times BMW has won the award? Zero.
Number of times Audi has won the award? One.
Number of times Fiat has won the award? Nine.
Number of times Renault has won the award? Six.

If someone is seriously suggesting that over the past 45 years Fiat and Renault have made the best cars in the world, he should go have his head checked.

porsche won this award with the 928 in 197????78 or79....
that was a proper car...but Fiat Uno, french plastic cars, mmmmmm.....I am italian and when I saw first time that Fiat won this award....well, I said: this contest worths nothing...
