I am surprised you managed to get the E93 at below MSRP when it first came out, but I suppose it helps to be a repeat customer.

The spanish website lists the price as 47,900 euros for 3.0i. Even converting euros to dollars one to one, that's a huge jump from the current 36,700 dollars. I knew the price was supposed to increase, but not that much...

The biggest thing to compare in price is how many Euros it increased in Spain. Not to do the direct exchange to US dollars since there is always market adjustments for different regions of the world.

Even between the European countries there are differences mostly due to differces in taxsystems. I can give you the Belgian pricetags of te old and new Z4 as an example :

Z4 Roadster 2,5 Si : 37,900 € (old 211 bhp) --> 36,400 € (new 204 bhp)
Z4 Roadster 3,0 Si : 44,950 € (old 265 bhp) --> 42,700 € (new 258 bhp)
