Based on my experience as an early adapter buying an E93 when it first came out...

Ordering in US probably Feb-Mar.

Prices Mar-Apr.

First car-mag test-drive articles Mar-Apr.

Pre-production cars visiting dealers for in-house familiarization Apr-May (car driven around region to all dealers by BMWNA marketing types, half-day visits, no test drives - but get dealer to invite you in for a look if you can)

First orders arrive May.

Cars on lot, demos to drive May.

That's a question for BMWNA. But is the way it has been for new models in US.

Bought my E93 sight unseen, no prices (was within about $500 total when prices did come out). No regrets.

$1000 below MSRP, plus repeat-customer lease rate. Could not match the deal for many months anywhere.
