This here is proper BMW Concept: Vision Z

Dunno if CAR is sold in US, but here is the cover of May issue. I have the mag at home, read it to bits and saw the pics. this car is asbolutely the best damn thing I've seen from BMW. CS concept is stunning, but if BMW made this, man oh man. Just look at it! And it's like green car too. It's called Vision Z. Haven't seen pics of it online though, so only cover shot.





these are my photos of the mag if you wanna see how it looks in bigger picture. quality is crap, just did it very quickly, dont have a scanner and light is all bad and flash is too reflective... so its bit blurry.

what yo mean it doesn't 'look' like a bimmer? What is bimmer look like in 2018? There is article about this car being green and so on, on of their top engineers talks about what plans they have and what the concept is used for testing. His name is Klaus Draeger, who is RnD boss for BMW. He says things such as the body taking different shapes, caer is full of cameras, powered by electric-petrol-diesel hybrid.

Anyway, i wont rewrite the article, but I saw CAR for sale in US when i lived there few years ago so check out the book stores, if they still carry its a good read on it.

Either way, it's a cool looking concept.

PS. note how that front lights and intakes look so similar to the M1 Heritage thing ?

My opinion still stands. It doesn't look like a Bimmer, even a futuristic one.

Let's not forget CAR Magazine were seriously wrong about the M3. They thought it would look like this and went to some effort to produce multiple images:

make it 100 n it's a bet (check spypics ) I quite like how the Z4 is turning out. The new hard-top will def work out in it's favour, I think it'll be details like the head/tail-lights and grille that make or break the design.

The overall proportions and dimensions look good even though it has grown quite a bit.

one thing's for sure is that the headlights would not make production for sure... the slits look way too small to give any significant light output imo...

The only thing CAR got wrong was the license plate. In the PS they put it in the bumper rather than the trunk (which actually was the original design plan for the E92).

So just because they put the license plate in the wrong place--according to older sketches--they were seriously wrong? pish posh!

If anything car should be taken very seriously for offering up possible future designs. Your post and pics prove it, thanks!

Um, they got the hood, roof, fender vents, rocker panels, mirrors, window trim, and rear bumper all wrong.

Yeah, which funnily enough was the only component that was caught on camera uncovered. The only reason we seen the front bumper uncovered was because BMW had to do hot weather testing with the intakes uncovered.

Funny that CAR mag got the bumper 100% correct but got the rest wrong. Maybe BMW were thinking about making the M3 look like that, but CAR mag first told us that was the new M3, then we sniffed out that it was a PS job so they said "okay it's a rendering of what we have been informed it will look like", then we found out it was completely wrong
