BMW Warranty Extension to 10 years

I just got a letter from BMW that extends my warranty on my 2010 Z4 for the "engine's intake and exhaust Camshaft (VANOS) Adjustment Units. This is without any mileage limit. This is not a recall or service notice.

Has anyone else got this and know what it means. I thought I saw something about a recall on a VANOS Bolt issue a while back, but have not had my car in for service for a while to check.

Please post a screenshot...sounds nice. I'm 2nd owner of an '09, have not seen yet.

I believe it is for the 30i (N52) cars

I have a 2011 30i and have not gotten that letter. I did get the recall notice for the Vanos bolts, and had the dealer do the recommended check in the recall. Luckily, there were no problems, but I haven't gotten anything about an extended warranty yet.
