It's designed for a BMW 1 serie.

The Z4 E89 are 8 x18 front Offset 29 and 8.5 x 18 Offset 40

It will fit with spacers
They don't come in 18'' for the new Z4, is what I wanted to say.. Hadn't thought about the spacers solution though. Had I known that before ordering 313 19''s for my s23i, I might have gone for the 18'' instead, because of the bumpy/crappy roads here in Greece.. Oh well..

I have ordered those rims for my white Z4 so I'll be able to know first hand in about 10 days
Hi there. I am thinking of upsizing my rims to 19" too. I really like the 313 looks.
Clean and easy to maintain. Just wondering if I need to get spacers for these rims on E89?

As far as I know, no. Bmw sell these wheels in e89 specs. It's part of the z4 accessories range.

In the UK it's only 296's and 326's 19" available in the e89 options list.

Yep that's right. But the 313 are on the accessories list. Which means you can't get them from the factory. Only through dealers.

So for the 313s 19" rims, better to go for the wider 235/30/R19 (front) 265/35/R19 (rear) or the 225/30/R19 (front) with 255/35/R19 (rear). Was told that the former will look sportier. But not sure if the wider tyres will cause hit the side walls when the wheels are turned in.

if your roads are not that great, I highly recommend sticking with the 18 wheels. The ride difference over those breaks in the pavement are noticeably more pleasant with the 18s.

313 vs 326

I have just ordered a Z4 sdrive30i in Australia with all the trimmings - but was wondering - I have the 326M 19's coming, but saw the performance tyres (313) on a few websites, and couldn't tell a good comparison from them.
They do seem awesome, but what is the difference between the 313 and 326M rims? Which one would be more expensive?
What are the differences in weight? I saw that the 19's in the 313s are 10 and 11kg fromt and rear. What are the 326M's?

From what I can tell, the 313's are a more graphite colour, whilst the 326Ms are a brighter silver colour.
The 326M's have a small M badge in the middle part of the rim. The 313's have BMW Performance on the side...And the lugs are positioned slightly differently.

I have ordered a sapphire black, with M sports pack, and thought that maybe a more graphite colour rim would look better on the black then the brighter silver.

Does anyone here have any experience with this? Or have any comparison photos on a black E89 that they wouild be willing to post for me to look at?

Thanks!

hi cwliew, when ordered, as you did, from factory, neither would be more expensive.

the actual weight of the 313's is 12.63 and 13.27 kg respectively (f & r)

the lugs in all Z4 wheels are in the same place. the polish finish (not the color) is slightly different, IMO the 326M that you order are the better choice

Go for the 326's they should not corrode because they have no polished surfaces

Hey Cwliew, I remember you from the Aussie Elises forum. Did the Adelaide dealer give you the option of getting 313's?

Also any reason you went with the 30i rather than the 35i?

Hi Alex! Did you drive an orange/yellow elise s1?
Anyway, yep, got rid of the lotus.

Went for the 30i instead as did not think an extra 20 grand would be worth it when upgrading to the 35i for not much in the way of extra low down speed. ie: the dash to 100 was not that different between the 2, and I thought I could live with going 5.6 secs anyway...Not really going to be a track car for me, so no concerned with the higher speeds. The 35is certainly does look the business - but I was happy with the 30i. I only test drove the 23i which I thought was underpowered for a sports car, but hey - its was still nice.

Went for:

Sapphire black
Black interior with carbon aluminium
M sports pack (+ 19 inch 326M)
Comfort access
Model designation deletion
Adaptive headlights
Hifi logic 7
Int and exterior mirrors with anti dazzle.

But thought that with a black car, the polished metal BMW performance wheels would look better than the 326M lighter silvers. No - they didn't mention much at the Adelaide BMW office. I did most of my discussion etc over email - only went in one day to test drive and get a feel for it...I am sure that they will be able to change them over to the 313's when I get the car. Expected delivery is sometime in august, sep, so no real hurry to decide!

Thanks Menphis and Bill for your posts. The comparison was terrific...I do think the 313's look better than the 326M's...but perhaps I need to see them fitted on the car. If there is no real price difference or weight difference, then I think I'd go the 313's.

Thanks for the info cwliew. It was a S2 111S starlight black actually. Nice choice of Z4 ...the N52 engine sounds fantastic (better than the N54 in my opinion...which I have atm). I agree the premium in Australia is huge for the top of the line BMW models with the N54. Too many cops in Adelaide at the moment revenue raising and it is only going to get worse! They even got speed cameras in wheelie bins in the Hills! It's getting ridiculous.

Definitely go with the 313's if you can. Although I am not sure how much of a premium BMW will charge you and if they will give you anything for the stock wheels & tires the car comes with (unless you want to keep em). Or will it be a straight swap with the 19" 326Ms?

In any case let us know how much they quote you for the 313's!

Oh yeh - got you mixed up with someone else - sorry! I had the black S2 as well! Were you scorcher? Or something like that on the number plate?

As for the wheels - not sure if there is anything else different about the 313's and the 326M's - not sure why there is such a scarcity of information about the 2 on the internet - thought more than a few people would be discussing them...

The 326M's are the ones that come with the M sports pack, but I paid to have thm in the 19 inch rather than then 18inch. So I would think that they could just fit the 313's on instead. And perhaps even the 313's would be cheaper than the 326M's.

Any ideas?

I would be confirming with the dealer exactly the availability and price. I would guess the 313's to be more expensive so make sure first.

Yeah, Adelaide motors today. They said that there would be a cost and they are looking into it.
Because I've ordered the M sports pack, apparently they can't factory fit the 313's instead of the 326M's (For whatever silly reason) - but I would have thought that the dealer should be able to do it on delivery so the 326M's stay "new".

In any case, will be finding out, as I'm fairly sure I like the 313's more than the 326M's. But don't think there are any other performance/handling/weight things that are different - so likely to just be aesthetics. If its not too expensive, will make the switch when I see the car but otherwise, might just be a matter of getting to like the M wheels.

Just out of interest - has anyone here changed their wheels from 326M's to 313's? Any comments? Any real life full size side profile car pics to compare?

Besides from aesthetics - are there any differences between the 2?
So similar - so making it a difficult choice!

Still not heard back yet from Adelaide Motors, but my car is only due to arrive in aug/sep as its a june build so long time to work things out.
