VRSF n54 catless DP installed

http://www.vr-speed.com/vrsf-3-cast-...-35i-35is.html

had to shave a bracket bolt to get it to sit flush but all good otherwise. went w/ these since they're much cheaper than AR. not much change in sound, maybe just a bit deeper/raspier. can definitely feel the power increase on butt dyno after flashing stg 2+ mhd.

About to do the same install... any pictures of the bolt? How long did the install take? Any tips?

It's a tight fit going through there, between the subframe and engine mount. The factory piece is crimped. You'll do some wiggling, and should find a couple mm of room ... like I said, tight. The v-band clamps on the N54 are cheesy in my opinion, but packaging is such that there is not much room in there. Photos are really of little help. How it goes together is obvious, and the rest is twisting the pipes around to where you get an acceptable fit.

I replaced that bolt with a normal hex head bolt of same grade. That gave me the extra clearance needed.

How long did the install take? Also are they hidden under the plastic undertray or are they visible? I want to get catless DPs but if they're visible I'll fail the visual part of the smog check every couple of years and have to swap them out... With O2 sims I should be able to pass the new computer only portion of the check at least.
