The Adjustable dampers can be also adjusted by tilting the seat - Since I am tall, the seat is all the way down and back as far as it can go with out rubbing on the rear inside of the car. The car came this way, I did not order special seats !

As to the roof - to make it black - they wanted an additional 700 bucks - and in my opinion it would break up the car too much - However, if I ever want to make it black , then I would buiy a thick fuzzy roller - and roll on black thick paint to give it texture and class ! probably would not cost more than 20 bucks too - Haha ! - dont worry - I wont use a roller, maybe a brush ! haha !

To everyone that left positive comments - Thank you very much - if any are in the area - per my friends in Md. who visited the car- and put all their finger prints on it - and all the druel all over it, come back and see it first hand - I dont mind !

Thanks again to all -

Phil

For all of you who wonder what I am talking about finger prints and Druel, it was from Beimerfest - however here is what some one said- see below

Well... I've already seen your car... in person! Congrats.

We've been considering the HO interior in the extended leather as you have it, and I search online to see if there was one in the states yet to look at. Two came up, one in PA and one at Circle BMW in NJ... yours! The wife and I had to go up to Long Island this past Saturday and we "swung" by in hopes to see it.

They told us it was sold and were very concerned about letting us see it since it was sold. We promised we wouldn't touch it, and only asked if they could open the door or window. So I can assure you they took very good care of it/you!!

We love the Deep Sea Blue, and now that we've seen your interior we know that combo will look great.

Congrats again! Beautiful car!

Love it!
I really don't like the black roof. The whole point of the design is the coupe look which gets ruined with the black roof. If it were up to me I would have the A pillars in body colour too.

I was talking about the suspension.... the pics made it seem like there was 2" gap between the top of the tire and the fender

The seats w/ the alcantara(sp?) and leather looks good. I find myself sliding a wee bit in my full leather seats. Would like your review on them when you have a chance and how they compare.

The Big difference I have noticed, is you wont slip and slide around ! Not that you get stuck in any position, but its not that easy to shift around! Its very comfortable too- not cold in cold weather - and I hope not HOT when it gets hot here ! also the front part of the seats extend to several positions - for long distance comfort and support - I tried it for a while, then pulled it back to the normal position, and noticed the difference - both positions were good !

The Head liner is now black too - not the white that I had in my 2009 Z !

Didn't the front part of the seats extend with the sport seats on all model year Z4's? I have the sport seats in my 2010 and the bottom of the seat has the extension; or are you talking about something different?

I had a 2009 Z-4 not with the Sports Pkg. so it did not come with the bottom front seat extension - it came with the 2014 - must have been added to one of the packages, just like Comfort Access and Blue tooth - they were optional in 2009 - now included. so the extension on the seat is new to me !

I agree. The Alcantara is very good. And, the best part is, it also wears better than leather and you don't get the wrinkles. Good for resale and for us who cringe when we see a tiny imperfection on our cars! However, it looks like on the Valencia Orange edition (like my Atacama) that the leather is Nappa, and THAT unfortunately doesn't wear as well as Kansas. After only about 2 months and 3,000 miles, the leg bolsters are already showing some wrinkles. Alcantara still looks new though

Also, I don't have a 2009 so I'm not exactly sure, but I was under the impression that all Z4s have white headliner, including 2014, unless you get the M-Sport package or just Sport Package, in which case you will get the anthracite(black) headliner. Correct me if I'm wrong though, because it looks like your car doesn't have M-Sport, but it may have Sport Package which will explain the anthracite headliner. Unless they changed it all together.
