I've heard from some ice hockey players that it is not easy.
I gave up Ice Hockey during highschool. My parents spent $600+ (at that time, rent for 1bdrm apartment in West LA was ~600ish) worth of equipment for me, and I failed myself.

After playing blade hockey with lots of people gave me an impression that I was good. BOY I was really wrong....

The only tape I have of me doing my thing on ice seems so stiff. I honestly can say I never liked the sport.

Rollerblades were my freedom. You can't do all the same tricks as on ice for the pure fear of injuries, but I can actually say, that the age of 18, I was epic.

When I hit the ramps, I was golden because I had the body control. On pure pavement I could do all jumps. With asphalt speeds doubles mainly.

Now, my knees don't work well, me ankles are shot, the left so much worse than the right. My back injuries (I'm not even sure if it's the memory of pain or just the physical hits)shoulders, a few head injuries and after two years I went skating a few weeks ago.

It was like 3 miles. Hahhahaa. I did in my days 30 per days. Ego busted.

You know, thisis funny story. When I first started roller blading, my purpose was to play blade hockey. I had real hard time stopping fast like ice skate.
When we play blade hockey, we played inside the tennis court. They had all the fences, so we can check people.
I had to check people at a fence area just to stop on time.
Not that I like to check people, but I had to do that to stop.

Yeah, no lease for me. About ~10yrs ago, my wife wanted Jetta. We leased 2yr lease, and we returned it without any problem. I actually love leasing the car, as long as they got a great residual and money factor. However, my wife doesn't. She said it is glorified rental.

I feel you, tastes are all subjective.

Just for shits and giggles- I went to the lambo dealer before ultimately going the individual M route in Newport and was thinking of the huracan since it's their "basic" lambo (if such a thing).

But then my friend took a photo of me in the car and Even I wanted to punch myself in the face.

Takes a very self assured individual OR a very low self esteem individual constantly seeking approval to drive a lambo. Not people in the middle like myself who has good days and bad.

I can see your wife's point of view- however/ not with anything 70k+. It's all depreciating liabilities and the way I see it- these cars are only as good as their warranties.

If I had passive income totaling 1mil or more however- then I would out right buy cars. At that point, warranty wouldn't mean much.

Lambo's might look good on some people, but it will not look good on me.
Sadly, I am a racing fantard, and it gives me some perspectives.

For an ex: I really don't like McLaren the company. I am not a fan of Tag , and Tag owns portion of Mclaren. On top of that, I am not a Ron Dennis (Chairman of McLaren) fan either.

However, McLaren now using Honda and struggling to just finish the race really got me to like McLaren. Weird, but I did catch a McLaren bug.
Now, the MP4/12C car. When McLaren start using MP4/12 is when I really got into F1. I know 650S is newer and better than MP4/12C, but just that name when I fell in love with F1 shares a same name +"C" kinda sold me.
This is just emotion talking, and I am fully aware of all the technical side and first ever carbon fiber monotub technology.

Every time I see a Toyota Corolla 139+tax lease , I sometimes want to trade in my Avalon for it. arrrggggg.....
