VIN check websites
When I bought my 2009 Z4 used, I had all the paperwork including the original sticker outlining all the installed options. After reading a thread about sound systems, I wanted to confirm I had the premium sound option. I have looked everywhere for the sticker and can't find it.
I did a "BMW VIN check" search on google and found this site <http://www.bmw-z1.com/VIN/VINdecode-e.cgi> and one that charged for the service to look up a VIN. And the first site didn't offer too much information. It didn't have any information about what options were factory installed. So, does anyone know of a website that provides complete information on the car by submitting the VIN? Thanks |

I think you can easily get that info by going to the dealership. They should have a record of the car.

I'll give my BMW dealership a call. I was just hoping I could go the easy route. When i had a Porsche Cayman, I know there was a site that would provide all the car info. Thought maybe BMW had the same... thought wrong.

You may try this one, just providing simple information:
http://www.bmw-z1.com/VIN/VINdecode-e.cgi Or this comprehensive one, but maybe only available for the German market: https://www.parts.bmwgroup.com/tetis...D=WebETK_START A window will popup, just enter the name "eu111111" and the password "bmwetk1" as provided by BMW to the public. You may also try to change language and your location to "USA" (menu option "Einstellungen") but in that case I had no success entering my VIN. You should now have access to the ASAP (Aftersales Assistance Portal) and may enter your VIN into the field "Fahrgestellnummer" (last 7 digits). Best regards Mick |

Thanks so much for trying to help. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get through. All I could get was a way to order parts. Michael |
