My '12 35i

Bought this last Saturday, and immediately took it on a two day trip to the Solvang area...

Car is CPO, should have been checked at the dealer before sale. I didn't find anything looking at them from around the vehicle...

Enough where BMW lost a class action lawsuit in the US. Which his car falls into this lawsuit parameters as its a '12 with 296 wheels. Thus my point in him getting them checked asap

I checked the wheels visually and found no issue before purchase. Would this be something that needs to be done taking off the wheels?

I would take them off and have them checked on the safe side they can crack from the inside out too.

Thanks for the info. Good to know there's a new design for this rim that alleviates the problem. I might take mine to a tire shop for checkup, better safe than sorry... car is out of the original 4 yr warranty in 5 months.

I just checked with a flashlight and didn't see anything from the outside looking in, and it seems both rear rims are the new style with thicker walls.... not the front ones though.
I wonder if I should just smoke my tires and change them to non rft :P

Swapping to PSS should be your 1st mod, maybe after stubby antenna and golf-t.

Too late, first mod is LCI markers, just arrived

Edit:

Antenna is ordered already, should be getting in soon...

Golf-t mod... didn't know what it was, looked it up and went to buy 3/16 vacuum caps (Orileys, $2.50 or so). Was about to do it but noticed that the exhaust is spitting black goo/water... unsure what it is but it's going to the dealer on Monday. Holding off on the mod until I know what's up.

Thinking on the PSS, it's $1k for four of them... hard to justify when the RFT are fresh...

Garage List
...I changed the RFT when the car had only 1.000miles out of the factory and could sell rhe nearly new tyres for a good price to a E90 driver as the do have the same dimmensions.
