LCI headlight retrofit confirmed.

I was reading around in another Z4 forum and came across this link:
http://www.etk.cc/EN/search/selectCa...ECE/63/63_1527
It seems like the the new headlights can be retrofited after all.
I dont know if its worth it but here it is.

I was at the dealership a few weeks ago and price was $1k+ for each. Forgot the exact but it was more than $1k.

Took a look - Seller appears to only have one side only. And they are used, + $90 shipping. Even so, $1,200 sounds like an expensive experiment to do, as it's not even confirmed it is retrofittable. Otherwise, I would seriously consider it for $1,000 because that halo ring alternative (blanking on the name - the company where you send your headlights to) is a good $500-600 bucks. That, and if you retrofit LCI ones you can sell your current ones for at least $200-300 each to break even.

You can find the part numbers on this link:

http://www.etk.cc/bmw/EN/search/selectCar/E89/Roa/BMW+Z4+35i/ECE/63/63_1527

Dealer. Give part numbers, they will say its not for your model, order them anyway.

Same here, called around different dealerships, US dealers can't get the retrofit harness.
