Premium Car Wax

Time to be thinking about applying a special wax for the summer. Anyone had experience with Zymol Creme Wax or Groit's Carnauba Paste Wax. Are these worth the extra cost? Are they relatively easy to apply? My Z4 is Titanium Silver Metallic. Looking for something with a deep, brilliant luster.

I've always been a fan of Pinnacle wax. It's a paste texture with easy on/off application.

I use the Zaino system and love the results.
Most of the excellent waxes are well worth the effort for results proposition.

On silver any decent wax that will go on and off easily will do. My Benz is silver and a lot easier to care for than my black Z4. The difference between clean and polished silver is not as great as when black is clean/dirty. Can't tell a huge difference between waxed and non-waxed on silver!

Have to say the paint quality is superior on the Benz. I used 22ple glass coat that I applied myself on both cars and don't need to wax very often- just use a quality detail spray like Meguairs UQD.

Also have the Pinnacle Souveran wax as above. Makes a lovely finish on black but not really worth it on silver to be honest. Souveran doesn't last long. Also used Zaino polish which is good but can streak a little.

My recommendation is 22ple VX1 Pro or Meguair's TechWax for you especially on silver.

I used the Zaino system on my 2006 M5 and loved the results as well. It lasted for a very long time.

I'm a converted SwissVax user and yes, it is crazy nuts expensive, BUT considering how little you use, one container will last me quite a while, not to mention to smells soooo good....

If you buy, be sure to get a NanoScrub system for your Porter, Nano Lube (also works as a great detailer a bit more diluted), and get the larger cleanser (though it goes a long way, it will never make as many applications of the SwissVax.

the thing that's so awesome about Zaino is how long the incredible shine lasts. And yes, it smells great too (except for the CS, which smells like insecticide)
