In the older Z4, I think it was a device that fed engine noise into the cabin, probably with some acoustic filtering to make it sound cooler. Now the new one is "electronic", whatever that's supposed to mean.

I'm definitely excited for the tuning possibilities of the N20 engine in the 328i. Unfortunately with the current 328i you're limited to engine performance mods w/o the turbo.

Sounds very much like the 2011 Mini Cooper S JCW of a friend of mine.
And thats a good thing! Reportedly, theres some noticable turbo whine like on the JCW, which is really great!

I think the Z3 made more sense as a sports car. Something 300 pounds lighter with a soft top would be pretty cool with N20 power.

Reminds me of a roaster from the 50s or 60s. In those mountains and sounding like that I immediately thought of Mcqueens Jag XK-SS. Don't really know why.
This may be the best sounding 4-cyl I've ever hear without an aftermarket exhaust.

I would def say that its a nice car, and that the motor sounds good, but i dont do convertibles, and if im getting a sporty 2 door hardtop non vert, i would want something more than the n20. Like the m in that class is very cool in my opinion.
definitely gonna be a nice strong little motor, especially if the boost is as high as 17lbs |

Where is that road, Heaven? Seriously, roadster on an uncluttered road with no traffic and no hidden cops around each corner = the perfect drive.
And where the hell is Clive for this video?? The pilot in that video made it look like driving that car was a chore.

That's really decent sound from the N20. Can't wait to hear it in person, and drive it.
