Using Leather Cleaner On Treated Interior
from what I understand, our interiors have been treated with something that prevents full heat from the sun. Does this mean you couldnt use leather treatments on the interior? Will treatments like Mother leather cleaner take off the protectant coating? Does anyone know?

if it was that easy to take off, i would think your butt sliding in and out of the seat would be worst than the conditioners and cleaners. after the first cleaning and conditioning I would think the extra layer of protection from the conditioner would protect future wear from your butt and from stains and cleaners.

Suggest regular wipe-down with damp micro towel and use light Windex for deeper cleaning. Did that for 3 years on E93 driven mostly with top down and beige leather looked great. Is the regimen I'm following with ivory interior in my Z4 s35i now and seems to work equally well on it.
All that leather-treatment crap: perhaps more harm than good, unless really bad and last resort. |
