⌛How many E89...

... are registered in the United States as well as in the surrounding countries?

Does anybody have an idea, how to get a current overview? Maybe somebody of you guys is working at a BMW partner and can shed some light on it.

Known registrations
~116.000 Z4 were built in total
~19.000 in Germany

Update:
~4.000 in France
~14.600 in UK
~24.000 en USA (https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic...42014#p1842014)
30.700 RHD
16.100 RHD in JPN, NZ, ... (30.700 RHD -14.600 UK)

Obviously there are several hundreds of E89 registered in the countries around Germany, AFAIK not more.

Where ist the rest of the remaining ~40.000 E89 located?

90k isnt that much to spread all over the world...
UK probably has quite a lot of Z4-s
North-America for sure has a lot
mediterranean countries probably have many aswell...
South africa, Australia...
And then theres the whole Asia that can swallow huge numbers: Japan, S-Korea, Malaysia, Singapure... China?

That is correct and is largely in line with my assumption, but I am looking for more concrete figures.

My experience with southern Europe, is that E89's as well as convertibles in general are rather rare due to the higher temperatures in summer.

A decade ago there was a members map available on the German ZRoadster forum (November 2014):
