I parked my Z4 on a parking lot for several hours on a hot sunny day. When I started my car, my radio would not go on. Phone worked though. After parking the car in my garage for an hour the radio workd again. What??????

Roof up.....windows closed...about 80 degrees

but does that mean I can't park my car in hot weather for fear the radio won't work? Never had that with my former BMWs.

I haven't had this specific problem, but I have noticed some electronic gliches...its irritating! IDrive will act up by not letting me select things from time to time, especially music. I have to exit out of the menus and start again. I have to say that strangely some of the things have sorted themselves out...at least that is the appearance. I have some other issues as well with the electronics and would not be surprised to see some internal BMW service bulletins surfacing soon. Well, at least that is the hope...as far as the M Adaptive suspension...thats a whole other story...grrr....

What stereo system do you have - the standard one or the upgraded package?

We may want to try to zero in on which stereo system these issues are happening to.

I am experiencing 2 issues with my standard stereo. The volume fluctuates alot and the speakers have made a booming sound three or four times now in the 12 or so days I've had the car. The booming happens when thre is a loud, deep base point in the music.

Do you have stuff stored behind the seats? The subs are back there and rattle certain things on that little shelf.

Sorry...Know my suspension comment was a little outta context for the thread, but just another electronic issue i think the car might have....as far as the radio, i have had no real probs with it, just the iDrive, but they are closely related i suppose as i access the radio from it....tomorrow the car goes into the dealership for them to tell me i'm completely paranoid and in all actuality nothing is wrong with my car...just something wrong with my perceptions lol
