The BMW Concept Compact Sedan looks awesome, totally BMW breaching the old into the new. Actually I really like it! But the paint color is fucking hideous, who is coming up with and okaying these disgusting nail polish paint schemes? That person or persons needs to go!
BMW NO front wheel drive anything! All-wheel-drive is the only way to go! |

Don't get all the people saying Hyundai Elantra.
It's a Peugeot 508. Looks practically identical to me.

Except that a 508 is almost the size of a 5 series

I can picture a model lineup and variant designations that would be truly fitting of BMW's provenance while facilitating growth and technology adaptation without sacrificing the majority core BMW demographic. It's so simple and obvious, I cannot understand why it wasn't done this way to begin with. |

Haha, that is true! Wonder how many inches off this "Compact Sedan" is from the P508 though. Scale is a simple thing. See also, BMWs own 2er and 4er, very difficult to tell them apart until you get close. When I saw the picture I was staggered at how similar the Compact Sedan and Peugeot 508 were in shape and even on some of the specific design elements.

Maybe they want to see how well the FWD sedsn does in China before bringing it over to North America and Europe.

I like it. Too much chrome bling bling everywhere though. Down with chrome.

Compact sedan looks great. Body, Side mirrors, roof, and seats. I could picture it in a M package with an aggressive stance.
Dont know how you guys are even comparing this to a Hyundai or Peugeot... body lines are totally different. |

Elantra
Hey!
I don't know why people denigrate the Hyundai/Kia color palette, when in fact they have one of the most comprehensive and complete color options available of any manufacturer! Let's not be hypocritical here. I'm sure you've all seen and heard the countless "New Tech." excuses for all that orange peel on the recent BMW's paint jobs. And, even if we give it a pretty name (OP & Elantra - "Austin") "Grigio Testo", Kia still has it on a "Rio" somewhere and it still looks like primer. Just my $0.02 ;-) |

The Sunglow Orange paintwork was actually the paint I once talked about that was once considered for an M product (M2).
