Floor mats moving

I finally got to drive my car this week as it has been warmer here in Ontario and wonder if others are finding the BMW rubber mats move around [as my mats are not fastened in place by pins or posts on the floor]. With recent events in the world of car floor mat issues it seems strange there are no posts for the mats to be attached to. There are holes in the carpet that are perfectly positioned to accept posts.

If you have BMW rubber mats do you have posts in the carpet to which your mats are fastened?

Thank You,

RET

I have the rubber ones and they came with posts. It seems you are missing them.

The mats have the soft velcro on the back of them. There should be 2 large plastic circles that hook into the floor. Feel for the indentations in the carpet where the hooks slot into (kind of just in front of the seat rails). You then have to twist them pretty hard for them to lock in place but be careful not to twist the hook off. Then stick the floor mat velcro areas to the circles.

I got velcro covered disks from the dealer but the mats do not have anything on them.

I put the disks my dealer sent me into the holes in the carpet but the rubber mats that came with the car do not have anything to attach to the disks. Does the velcro on the disks keep the mat from moving just by friction or are my rubber mats missing velcro on the bottom corners?

Thank you,

I know you stated that you got your mats from the dealer, but are they oem or off-brand? I currently have both the cloth and rubber bmw oem mats and they both have velcro to attach to the "disks".
